#14 Employees recover sales commissions despite employer’s efforts to destroy evidence

In 2008 we tried a case involving unpaid sales commissions under Illinois’ Sales Representative Act. Our clients could not even be sure how much was owed to them because their employer destroyed his records. To discover what commissions were owed, we subpoenaed numerous out of state and foreign entities. Finally, we went to trial and recovered not only the employees’ unpaid commissions, but also attorney fees and expenses.
