Aquarius Case Settles

A computer school was burglarized but State Farm refused to pay the insurance claim for lost equipment and business. With another law firm representing the school, the case was lost. Kristi Browne, Christine Rosso and Kathryn Walker were then hired to replace the prior counsel. They wrote a motion for a new trial that was granted. They won the new trial. The verdict was $534,000. They then filed a claim for bad faith against the insurer, after which the case settled in December 2011 for a confidential amount. If you suffer a loss covered by insurance, consult an attorney early to ensure proper documentation and presentation of your claim.
