Joanna Kopczyk has experience in multiparty construction tort litigation, federal privacy law, contract dispute litigation, and appellate civil procedure. Prior to joining Patterson Law Firm, Ms. Kopczyk was a law clerk for the City of Chicago’s Building and License Enforcement Division, where she represented the City in bench trials and hearings at Cook County Circuit Court, Municipal Division and in Administrative Hearings. She also interned in the Civil Appeals Division at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, and was a judicial intern to Hon. Terrence J. Lavin in the Illinois Appellate Court, First Judicial District.
During law school, Ms. Kopczyk was involved in several moot court competitions and extracurricular activities. She won best respondent’s brief in the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, South West. Ms. Kopczyk was also a staff writer for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal.
