Sarah Dunkley is an experienced litigation attorney, having practiced in both federal and state courts in Australia and the United States in a variety of areas, including regulatory disputes, tax prosecutions, international arbitration, class actions, construction litigation, insolvency defense, general contract disputes and securities/shareholder actions.
Prior to joining Patterson Law Firm, she was a Senior Associate in the litigation team at Squire Patton Boggs in Western Australia. She practiced with Squire Patton Boggs for over three years, after joining them from the litigation and dispute resolution team at Ashurst Australia (formerly Blake Dawson). At Ashurst, Ms. Dunkley also held the position of Pro Bono Coordinator for the Western Australian office.
After completing her Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degrees in 2009 from Murdoch University, Western Australia, Ms. Dunkley spent two years as clerk to the Honorable Justice Michael Murray (as he was then known) of the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
In 2014, Ms. Dunkley completed an LLM degree in International Comparative Law from the Robert H McKinney School of Law, where she was on the Dean’s List. During that time, she also gained experience as a judicial extern at the Marion County Court in Indiana, volunteer at Indiana Legal Services, Inc. and a law clerk at Cohen and Malad, LLP. As a law clerk at Cohen & Malad, she worked mainly in commercial litigation and class action disputes.
Ms. Dunkley is licensed to practice in Illinois and admitted to practice in Western Australia.
