Chicago, IL – October 28, 2014 — The Patterson Law Firm LLC, a Chicago-based commercial litigation law firm, is pleased to announce that Eric Chisholm has joined the firm as an associate attorney focusing on business litigation matters, including breach of contract and commercial disputes on behalf of businesses and individuals.
Mr. Chisholm completed the dual-degree program in law and social work at the University of Michigan in 2010, earning both his Juris Doctor and Master of Social Workdegrees. While in law school, he spent two summers focusing on labor and employment law at the Indianapolis law firm of Hall Render and at Miller Johnson, a Grand Rapids, Michigan law firm. As a student attorney, Mr. Chisholm represented parents in child-welfare proceedings in counties across the state of Michigan through the Child Advocacy Law Clinic. He also served as a law clerk in the Washtenaw County (Michigan) Office of the Public Defender. He is trained as a general civil mediator and has mediated numerous cases for the Wayne Mediation Center in Dearborn, Michigan. Most recently, Mr. Chisholm served as the Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Chicago Law School prior to joining The Patterson Law Firm.
Mr. Chisholm earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Michigan, with concentrations in English and psychology and a minor in Spanish language and literature. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Center for Law and Social Work and the Green Star Movement.
